Autumn is a fantastic time for hiking. The leaves change color and the mountains appear so clear and close. The region of St. Anton on the Arlberg enchanted experienced mountain hikers as well as pure pleasure hikers with their extensive mountain scenery and about 300 kilometers of marked hiking trails.

Whether you are planning a short and leisurely hike or a more strenuous day trip, if you are in the mountains, equipment is important.

Which hiking equipment you need for a day tour, we have put together here. Depending on the length or weather, it may be that you also need something else or maybe even do without something.

The right hiking equipment

Now in the fall, you are well advised to choose a pair of hardshell pants, a hat and a rain cover for the backpack.

When choosing and buying your hiking equipment, you should pay close attention to functionality and weight. A thin, functional fleece pullover is a lot warmer, more breathable and lighter than a traditional pullover.

Tip hiking trails

Our hiking tip is a moderately difficult route and really easy to master. It takes about seven hours, but it rewards you with many impressive views. If you are lucky, not all alpine roses have died yet :-).
